For over a century and a half, First Missionary Baptist Church of Brunswick has stood as a beacon of faith, hope, and purpose in the heart of Missouri. Though some of our earliest records have been lost to time, what remains is undeniable — a legacy of spiritual strength, steadfast worship, and community transformation that refuses to be forgotten.
In modern history, we are grateful for the 20-year pastoral leadership of Pastor Kentrell Lee, who faithfully guided FMBC through seasons of growth, stability, and foundational strength. His commitment to the Word and the work of ministry laid a powerful groundwork for the future. Under his leadership, the church held firm to its mission, maintained its witness, and nurtured countless souls in the faith.
“We honor Pastor Lee for his years of tireless service and leadership, knowing that the strength of today stands on the shoulders of yesterday.”
In December 2024, following Pastor Lee’s transition to his next ministry assignment, Pastor Keinan M. Ross was called to serve as Interim Pastor. With fresh vision and pastoral humility, he stepped in not to replace, but to revive, rebuild, and reimagine.
On May 18th, 2025, Pastor Ross was officially elected Senior Pastor. Since then, First Missionary Baptist Church of Brunswick — now also known as First Church Brunswick — has experienced a powerful rebirth, a “Watch God Work” season of renewal, outreach, and growth.
“We are not a new church — we are a renewed church. Same foundation, same faith, but a fresh wind from heaven!”
